This is a collaborative map of favorite nature spots by and for readers of This Green Blog and This Green Life. There are lots of great recommendations here — not just in the U.S., but around the world. Check it out!
View this on Google for a full-sized map with a list of nature spots on the left.
You can add your own favorite spot to the map. Just go to the map on Google, sign in to your Google or Gmail account, click the “Edit” button and add your placemark. The red arrow in the graphic on the left shows where the edit button is.
Just be careful NOT to change the title of the map itself (“This Green Life Nature Map) — or description.
On the other hand, DO include a title for the placemark you are adding in the placemark title field if you want people to find it easily. Include a description of why you recommend it and — if you possibly can — a picture. (It doesn’t have to be yours — just link to one you find online.)
For instructions on exactly how to add a placemark, see Google’s help page.
I only ask that you keep your map additions real. No commercial plugs please! (They’ll be removed in any case, but it’s so tedious to do….)
