Sheryl,

About a year ago I read your May 2006 article regarding Pets and Pesticides. It is a subject near and dear to me. My dog (child) Luna became very ill about a year ago. We had her on Frontline and the home/lawn treated by a Pest Control Company. Like so many others, nothing was working to eliminate the insects from our property (TX Gulf Coast). Luna became very ill and we (and several vets) discovered that she was reacting to the Fiprinol, experiencing seizures, liver and kidney shutdown, skin rashes, etc. The Frontline was thrown away, the pest control company fired, and our research began. We tried brewers yeast, steeped lemons, if it was natural, we tried it. Nothing really worked. So, my partner (a biologist) and I sought an effective, safe, natural alternative to toxic pesticides for use on and around pets, people, and property. I quit my tax firm and the mission to save lives through education, information and alternative methods began.

Less than a year later, our women owned business, Wondercide, provides 100% effective, non toxic, pest control for Pets, People, and Property. In the past 6 months we have grown leaps and bounds with pet owners and organic gardeners. So, long story short, thank you for writing your candid articles. I wasn't aware that I was poisoning my dog and family until it was brought to my attention. Now, my whole mission and vision for life is to inform, educate, and offer those who are willing to listen, a green alternative to traditional and toxic pest controls. Thanks again for writing!

Respectfully,

Stephanie
